[New Product] 1K multipurpose isolator primer

The KUDO® automotive series has a new product — 1K multipurpose isolator primer, developed specifically to keep the old finish from bleeding through and to prevent lifting when new coats are applied.

The isolator primer is applied before acrylic, alkyd and nitrocellulose paints and provides:

  • Effective isolation of old coatings and fillers;
  • Prevention of defects such as lifting or peeling when repainting;
  • Good adhesion to a variety of surfaces;
  • Fast drying and easy handling.

The product comes in a 520 ml aerosol can, ready to use and needing no additional mixing.

KUDO® is expanding its range of package sizes: the most popular decorative paints, primers and varnishes are now produced in a new, larger format — 800 ml aerosol cans.

The new package means:

  • More product — nearly twice as much as in the standard size;
  • Lower cost — a lower price per 1 ml of product;
  • Convenience on large jobs, with no need to change cans often.

Products in the new size suit professional and semi-professional use: interior decoration, furniture projects, decorative finishing and other jobs where more coverage and fewer interruptions are needed.

The KUDO® KU-9110 paint remover removes most types of paint coatings (oil, alkyd, nitrocellulose, 2K and 1K acrylic, epoxy and others), including automotive ones.

The KUDO® range has new products – Acrylic vapor-barrier joint sealant, interior PROFF in a 3 kg pail SMB 311 and Acrylic vapor-permeable joint sealant, exterior PROFF in a 3 kg pail SMB 351.

Vapor-permeable and vapor-barrier acrylic sealants are used when installing window frames. They have excellent adhesion to brick, concrete, wood, metals, PVC and other building materials. They have a wide service temperature range: from –30 °C to +70 °C, and may be applied at –20 to +35 °C. In transport they withstand up to 7 freezing cycles (a cycle of no more than 24 hours) at temperatures down to –20 °C, or a single freezing down to –20 °C for no longer than 7 days.

Based on report No. 262-2024 of November 18, 2024 issued by the Federal Center of Theoretical and Applied Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FCTAS RAS). Prepared from the results of a sociological survey carried out from October 29, 2024 to November 5, 2024 among adult residents of the Russian Federation who use aerosol-packaged paints and coatings.

The data was collected in line with Russian and international professional quality standards and with the regulations that govern sociological research, which keeps the resulting information objective, valid and reliable. It complies with GOST R ISO 20252-2014 “Market, opinion and social research”; ISO 20252:2019 “Market, opinion and social research, including insights and data analytics — Vocabulary and service requirements”; and with the principles of the ESOMAR Code on market, opinion and social research and data analytics.
