KUDO® MONTAGE SYSTEM is a system encompassing a range of professional KUDO® materials designed to be used during installation (including securing and sealing) of window/balcony/door units in openings in exterior walls of buildings and structures. The KUDO® installation system makes the work fast and accurate, in full compliance with the Russian standards GOST 30971‑2012 and STO NOSTROY 2.23.62‑2012.
These standards require the installation joints to be protected on the inside and on the outside with special acrylic sealants. The outer and the inner side of the joint work under different conditions and need different protection, which is why different sealants are used outside and inside. The guiding principle is: tighter on the inside than on the outside.
Indoors the absolute humidity is usually higher than outdoors, so moisture and water vapor tend to move from the room into the joint. To prevent this, use the KUDO® PROFF acrylic vapor-barrier joint sealant, interior.
On the outside, the installation joint has to be protected from UV radiation and from moisture entering the joint. At the same time the outer protective layer has to be vapor-permeable so that moisture can escape from the joint. This is the job of the KUDO® PROFF acrylic vapor-permeable joint sealant, exterior.

Acrylic vapor-permeable sealant.
Acrylic vapor-permeable joint sealant, exterior protects the outer side of the installation joint against UV radiation, precipitation and other damaging factors. Because the exterior sealant is vapor-permeable, moisture that has built up in the joint can escape outdoors, which preserves the thermal insulation performance of the PU foam sealant filling the joint. The sealant also works well for sealing gaps between walls, ceilings, floors, baseboards, window sills and window frames.

Acrylic vapor-barrier sealant.
Acrylic vapor-barrier joint sealant, interior protects the inner side of the installation joint of window, balcony and curtain-wall glazing units. It keeps moisture from entering the joint from inside the room and so preserves the thermal insulation performance of the PU foam sealant filling the joint. The sealant also works well for sealing gaps between walls, ceilings, floors, baseboards, window sills and window frames.
Warm installation
The most vulnerable point for heat loss and moisture build-up is the junction between the wall and the window (door or balcony unit). Only insulation that stays dry keeps mold from forming around the joints and keeps them from freezing through. That is why following the procedure and using the right materials matters here.
Warm installation relies on three layers working together.
- The inner layer (vapor-barrier sealant) forms a barrier that keeps moisture and water vapor from inside the building out of the foam.
- The middle layer (PU foam sealant) provides thermal and acoustic insulation.
- The outer layer (vapor-permeable sealant) blocks moisture from outside and at the same time lets excess moisture leave the joint as vapor.
KUDO® MONTAGE SYSTEM delivers thermal comfort and resists mold growth and freezing at the junction between the window (door or balcony unit) and the wall, in full compliance with the Russian standards GOST 30971‑2012 and STO NOSTROY 2.23.62‑2012.
