Repairing metal parts
Shallow scratch: only the clear coat and the paint are damaged, the primer is intact
How to tell: wet the scratch with water; if it becomes invisible, the primer is not damaged.
Metallic paint. Repair procedure:
- Degrease the surface with silicone remover KU-9100.
- If the scratch is small, use the brush to apply car repair lacquer KU-70000.
- If the damaged area is fairly large, apply to it 1K automotive varnish KU-9010. It is best to clear the entire body panel. If clearing the entire panel is difficult for some reason, the clear coat can be applied to the damaged area only, and the transition zone treated immediately with spot blender KU-9101.
Non-metallic paint. Repair procedure:
- Degrease the surface with silicone remover KU-9100.
- If the scratch is small, use the brush to apply automotive repair paint KU-7XXXX in a matching color.
- If the damaged area is fairly large, apply to it 1K alkyd automotive repair paint KU-4XXX in a matching color. If there is no matching color, have the color matched at a specialist store and use the pre-charged aerosol cans FILL SPRAY KU-9900 or FILL ONE KU-9901. Treat the transition zone immediately with spot blender KU-9101.
Scuff that has gone through the primer, the metal is intact
How to tell: wet the damaged area with water; if it is still visible, the coating is damaged down to the primer.
Metallic paint. Repair procedure:
- “Open up” the damage (sand it).
- Degrease the surface with silicone remover KU-9100.
- If the scratch is small, use the brush to apply anticorrosion repair primer KU-70006. Let the primer dry, then use the brush to apply automotive repair paint KU-7XXXX in a matching color, and over the paint car repair lacquer KU-70000.
- If the damaged area is fairly large, apply to it filler primer KU-220X. Once the primer has dried, apply 1K metallic automotive repair paint KU-4XXXX. If there is no matching color, have the color matched at a specialist store and use the pre-charged aerosol cans FILL SPRAY KU-9900 or FILL ONE KU-9901. Once the paint has dried, apply 1K automotive varnish KU-9010. It is best to clear the entire body panel. Coating damaged down to bare metal, rust is visible
How to tell: orange or black marks are visible on the surface, possibly with the typical traces of corrosion.
Metallic paint. Repair procedure:
- “Open up” the damage (sand it).
- If the scratch is small, treat it with rust converter KU-70005. Let the product act for 30 minutes, then rinse it off with water and dry the surface.
- Degrease the surface with silicone remover KU-9100.
- Use the brush to apply to the damage anticorrosion repair primer KU-70006. Let the primer dry, then use the brush to apply automotive repair paint KU-7XXXX in a matching color, and over the paint car repair lacquer KU-70000.
- If the damaged area is fairly large, treat it with rust converting primer KU-2601. Let it dry completely. Then apply to the damaged area filler primer KU-220X. Once the primer has dried, apply 1K metallic automotive repair paint KU-4XXXX. If there is no matching color, have the color matched at a specialist store and use the pre-charged aerosol cans FILL SPRAY KU-9900 or FILL ONE KU-9901. Once the paint has dried, apply 1K automotive varnish KU-9010. It is best to clear the entire body panel. If clearing the entire panel is difficult for some reason, the clear coat can be applied to the damaged area only, and the transition zone treated immediately with spot blender KU-9101.

If there is no matching color, have the color matched at a specialist store and use the pre-charged aerosol cans FILL SPRAY KU-9900 or FILL ONE KU-9901. Treat the transition zone immediately with spot blender KU-9101.
Repairing painted plastic parts

The coating and the plastic underneath it are damaged
How to tell: black or gray plastic is visible in the damaged area.

- Use the brush to apply repair primer KU-70006. Let the primer dry, then use the brush to apply automotive repair paint KU-7XXXX in a matching color, and over the paint car repair lacquer KU-70000.
- If the damaged area is fairly large, level the surface with body filler if necessary. Degrease the surface with silicone remover KU-9100. Apply to the damaged area adhesive activator KU-6000 and, after 10-15 minutes, filler primer KU-220X. Once the primer has dried, apply 1K metallic automotive repair paint KU-4XXXX. If there is no matching color, have the color matched at a specialist store and use the pre-charged aerosol cans FILL SPRAY KU-9900 or FILL ONE KU-9901. Repairing unpainted plastic parts
No mechanical damage and no deep scratches, only fine, barely visible scratches; the plastic has faded
Repair procedure:
- Degrease the surface with silicone remover KU-9100.
- Apply adhesive activator KU-6000 and, after 10-15 minutes, Bumper Primer&Paint KU-620X in the required color.
Deep scratches and heavy scuffing
Repair procedure:
- “Open up” the damage (sand it).
- Level the surface with body filler if necessary.
- Degrease the surface with silicone remover KU-9100.
- Apply adhesive activator KU-6000 and, after 10-15 minutes, Bumper Primer&Paint KU-620X in the required color.
Painting wheels
Steel wheels damaged by corrosion
With a phosphoric acid rust converter. Repair procedure:
- Remove dirt, flaking paint and rust with a wire brush and sandpaper. Where the old finish is still firmly attached, scuff sand it with fine sandpaper or a scuff pad.
- Treat the areas where the old finish is gone with rust converter KERRY® KR-240 or KR-540. Let the converter act for 30-40 minutes, then rinse it off with water and dry the surface.
- Degrease the surface with silicone remover KU-9100.
- Apply enamel for wheels KU-520X in a matching color. No clear coat is required.
With a rust converting primer. Repair procedure:
- Remove dirt, flaking paint and rust with a wire brush and sandpaper. Where the old finish is still firmly attached, scuff sand it with fine sandpaper or a scuff pad.
- Degrease the surface with silicone remover KU-9100.
- Treat the areas where the old finish is gone with rust converting primer KU-2601.
- Apply enamel for wheels KU-520X in a matching color. No clear coat is required.
Aluminum wheels damaged by corrosion
Repair procedure:
- Remove dirt, flaking paint and rust with a wire brush and sandpaper. Where the old finish is still firmly attached, scuff sand it with fine sandpaper or a scuff pad.
- Degrease the surface with silicone remover KU-9100.
- To improve adhesion, treat the unpainted areas with rust converting primer KU-2601.
- If necessary, level the surface with body filler or several coats of filler primer KU-220X.
- Degrease the surface again with silicone remover KU-9100.
- Apply enamel for wheels KU-520X in a matching color.
- To paint the wheels in a metallic color, apply 1K metallic automotive repair paint KU-4XXXX. Once the paint has dried, apply 1K automotive varnish KU-9010.
- To paint the wheels in one of the solid (non-metallic) colors, apply 1K alkyd automotive repair paint KU-4XXX in a matching color. Do not apply a clear coat.
