The KUDO® range now includes a Roof and facade sealant based on hybrid polymers KSK 51X. The new HOME series product is designed for sealing facade and roof joints and cracks in building panels and roof structures. It is suitable for interior and exterior use, including timber house building.
The one-component formulation cures with atmospheric moisture and forms a durable elastic joint that withstands vibration and deformation loads. The sealant stays elastic throughout its service life, does not shrink and does not form bubbles. Its thixotropic consistency keeps it from running or sagging in the joint.
The sealant has excellent adhesion to most building materials: stone, concrete, glass, ceramics, metals, drywall, PVC and wood. It needs no priming, contains no isocyanates or solvents and does not cause corrosion.
Once cured, the joint can be painted with water-based and synthetic paints. Run a test before using solvent-based paints. The material resists weathering and temperature changes; the service temperature range is −50 °C to +100 °C.
The new product comes in 280 ml cartridges in three colors: white — KSK-511, black — KSK-512 and gray — KSK-513.
Work is best carried out at temperatures from +5 °C to +35 °C. The sealant is not suitable for continuous water immersion.
