Surface preparation
- Old clear coats together with thermoplastic paint: degrease, then dry sand with P220+P280. For degreasing, “Silicone Remover” KU-9100 is recommended.
- Polyester body fillers: dry sand, up to P240+P320 for the final leveling.
- 2K epoxy primers: no sanding within 12 hours; after 12 hours sand with P320.
- Steel: degrease, dry sand with P120.
- Aluminum: degrease, dry sand with P280+P360.
- Galvanized steel: degrease, scuff with an abrasive pad, degrease again.
- Stainless steel: degrease.
Application
- Mask surfaces that are not to be painted to protect them from overspray.
- For best results, apply the product at a minimum ambient temperature of +10°C and at a relative humidity not exceeding 75%. Recommended temperature for spraying is +20°C.
- Shake well for 2-3 minutes before use. Repeat shaking while working.
- Spray the primer from a distance of 15-20 cm, in 1-2 even thin coats (about 10 µm per coat), with intercoat drying 5-10 minutes. Flash-off time before applying the topcoat wet-on-wet is 20 minutes.
- If dust contamination appears, remove it by hand with P800-1000 sandpaper after 2 hours, once the primer is fully dry. Touch-dry at +20 °C is 15-20 minutes, fully dry in 2 hours.
Warning! After use, to avoid clogging the spray head, turn the can upside down and spray until the primer stops coming out.
