Anti-Corrosion Adhesive and Sealant for Aluminum Structures PROFF
KBK-552
Intended to protect the cut edges of aluminum profiles against corrosion.
Adhesive sealant KUDO® PROFF KBK-552 is used in the manufacture of aluminum window, door and roller shutter structures for sealing cut ends and joints, and for sealing connections and seams meeting at an acute angle. It effectively prevents corrosion and the penetration of moisture under the paint coating.
Excellent adhesion to aluminum, rubber, plastics (except polyethylene, polypropylene and fluoropolymers) and other construction materials. Highly elastic, resistant to UV radiation and weathering, and suitable for joining materials with different coefficients of thermal expansion.
Chemically neutral, no chemical reaction with the materials to be bonded. Does not cause metal corrosion. Can be used for bonding objects made of delicate materials. Odorless, eco-friendly, non-toxic and non-flammable, free of isocyanates and solvents.

Application
- Recommended application temperature between +5°C and +35°C.
- Apply the adhesive and sealant to clean, degreased surfaces. For degreasing and cleaning, KUDO® Universal degreaser is recommended.
- Apply as a continuous bead. Smooth down the joint with a putty knife wet with soapy water.
- Tack-free time is no less than 20 minutes, curing rate about 3.5 mm per day (at 23 °C and 50 % humidity).
- Clean surfaces soiled with fresh adhesive and sealant with KUDO® Multipurpose sealant remover. Remove the cured material mechanically.
- The bonded elements can be used at temperatures from –40°C to +110°C.
Warning! Do not use on surfaces where contact with food is possible. Not suitable for permanent water immersion. If solvent-based paints are used, run a test.
