High-quality, one-component elastic acrylic sealant KUDO® for long-term sealing between logs and log courses, sealing log ends, and filling checks in logs and beams. Suitable for joints between wooden structures and foundations or roof elements, and for installation gaps around wooden windows, doors and other building elements where joint movement does not exceed 12.5%.
KUDO® acrylic sealant for log homes forms a strong, durable joint that resists cracking, crumbling, fading and dust accumulation. Resistant to UV radiation, mold, mildew and weathering.
Solvent-free. After complete drying it can be painted with water-based and synthetic paints. For exterior and interior use.

Application
- It’s recommended to apply the product at an ambient temperature from +5°C to +35°C, the substrate temperature included. The temperature of the sealant should be +20°C… +25°C.
- The sealant is ready for use. Don’t dilute it with water! Otherwise the sealant may flow off, lose adhesion and start cracking.
- Apply the sealant to clean, dry and degreased surfaces.
- Prepare the dispensing gun: fully retract the plunger, unscrew the retaining nut and nozzle, and insert the foil pack. Cut off the exposed end of the pack. Refit and secure the nozzle and retaining nut, ensuring that the opened end of the pack sits inside the nozzle.
- The recommended sealant thickness in the joint is 4.5-5 mm.
- For joints wider than 7 mm, place a closed-cell polyethylene backer rod into the joint to avoid three-sided adhesion. The backer rod diameter must leave a joint fill depth of at least 1/3 of the joint width.
- The width of the sealant coating must be not less than 3 mm on each side of the joint.
- After application, smooth down the sealant with a wet putty knife.
- Protect the applied sealant from rain until a skin has formed.
- Remove excess fresh sealant with a damp cloth and wash the tools with water. Remove cured sealant mechanically.
- Drying time of a 2 mm thick sealant layer is 48 hours (at 23°C and 50% humidity).
- To paint the sealant, use paints and varnishes whose film elasticity is comparable to that of the sealant. When a colored sealant is coated with varnish, keep in mind that the color of the sealant becomes more saturated.
Important! Before applying to wood treated with protective or decorative coatings, run a test: apply at least 2 linear meters of the sealant, leave it for 4 days and then check the compatibility of the sealant with the coating.
In hot weather and low air humidity, contact with hot dry surfaces makes the sealant dry too fast, which impairs adhesion. In this case, lightly mist the surface with water using a sprayer, leaving no drops.
Not for joints that are permanently under water.
Do not apply at ambient temperatures below +5°C or in high humidity (>70%).
