The KUDO® range has a new product – the multipurpose NEXTGEN joint adhesive sealant based on hybrid polymers in a 280 ml cartridge, KBK-524 and in a 600 ml sausage pack, KBP-524.
The KUDO® range already included a constructional hybrid adhesive sealant; the new product is a joint hybrid adhesive sealant. Both are multipurpose and can be used either as an adhesive or as a sealant, but they also differ.
The joint adhesive sealant is more elastic (elongation at break of 450% against 250% for the constructional one) and therefore suits sealing moving joints better, where the first priority is a reliable seal on a connection under constant deformation.
The constructional adhesive sealant, in turn, is preferable as an adhesive, when mating parts have to be bonded securely. It has a higher hardness (50 Shore A against 40 for the joint version), a higher tensile strength (2.2 N/mm² against 1.5 N/mm² for the joint version) and roughly one and a half times higher adhesion to various materials.
Both hybrid adhesive sealants are white, but they can easily be painted any color.
