We are often asked how to fill a rough opening with PU foam sealant. In answer to those questions we have put together a detailed guide to doing it right.

Steps of the job:

1. Always mist the opening with water before filling it with foam
2. Fill the opening with foam from the bottom up. The foam then has firm support and does not run down. The joint comes out even and clean.
3. Once the joint is filled, mist the foam with water again
Important! Filling an opening from the top down is harder. The foam has no support, it can start running down and leave a void near the top edge of the opening
